How I'd Make My First $10K in 30 Days as an Online Coach

Back in 2018, I was working a construction job, trying to figure out how to turn my passion into a profitable business.

Five-figure months felt like a fantasy — the kind of monthly income only “guru” business coaches talked about on flashy YouTube videos.

Fast forward to today? Hitting that $10K/month mark is a regular thing (crazy to say that now).

And no, I didn’t get there with magic pills or some overpriced membership site.

I built a coaching business by focusing on what actually works...

By solving a specific problem, attracting high-paying clients, and using the right strategies that don’t burn you out or waste a lot of time.

In this post, I’m going to show you exactly what I’d do to make my first $10,000 in 30 days if I were starting from scratch as a brand-new online coach in 2025.

Whether you're a yoga teacher, personal trainer, or creative freelancer trying to transition into coaching, or a new business owner ready to serve your ideal clients at a higher level ...

This guide is your step-by-step plan to attract dream clients, fill your coaching package, and finally build a coaching business that generates real cash flow and real freedom.

And no, you don’t need a big email list, viral social media following, or to spend a single day begging for sales calls.

This is about building a profitable business the smart way — by creating valuable services, selling the right coaching offers, and delivering better results than 95% of online coaches out there.

Let’s break this down step-by-step, starting with the first step every coach must take to get out of their head and into a business model that actually works.

STEP #1: Nail Your Niche

If you're trying to grow a coaching business in 2025, the first step isn't building your email list, launching a course, or jumping into sales calls.

It starts with clarity. And that means getting laser-focused on your niche.

Now, if finding your niche feels like a guessing game, you’re not alone.

A lot of people — from yoga teachers and personal trainers to new business owners and online coaches — spin their wheels here.

They waste so much time trying to “figure it all out” before they ever land their first clients.

But here’s the mindset shift that changed everything for me:

Your niche isn’t something you find — it’s something you dial in over time.

Think of it like building a puzzle without the picture on the box. Overwhelming, right?

You’re trying to make important decisions, but you’re not even sure what the final image should look like.

Here’s the better way to approach it ...

  • Start with the edge pieces: your skills, passions, and life experience. These are foundational.
  • Then find a corner piece: the specific problem your ideal clients are already struggling with.

As you work with future clients, your puzzle starts coming together.

What seemed blurry starts to click. Your business model gets tighter. Your coaching services become more valuable.

And your conversion rate skyrockets because your messaging starts landing with the best clients.

This process isn’t a magic pill. It’s a daily practice of paying attention to what’s working, what people are asking for, and where you bring the most value.

That’s how you move to the next level as an online entrepreneur.

To get started fast, use this simple formula:

"I help [specific person] get [specific result]."

Here are some examples:

  • “I help women launch online courses that generate passive income.”
  • “I help busy dads lose 20 pounds without giving up video games.”
  • “I help burnt-out teachers start a coaching business so they can quit their corporate job.”

Clear. Simple. No fluff.

The last thing you want to do is say something like ...

"I help passionate female entrepreneurs find their voice so they can step into alignment with their soul’s calling while also scaling a digital empire..."

Stop. You’ve already lost them.

The best way to attract dream clients is to speak clearly and solve a specific problem. Your goal isn’t to sound impressive — it’s to be understood.

And this clarity doesn't just help your ideal clients; it helps you, too.

You’ll stop second-guessing yourself and in turn, save a lot of time.

Once you’ve got this locked in, you’ll know what to talk about on social media, how to structure your coaching package, what to include in your lead magnets, etc.

You'll be able to confidently position yourself in Facebook groups, stand out in a saturated market, and build the kind of profitable business that gets clients coming through word of mouth.

But even with a rock-solid niche, your income won’t grow unless you have a clear offer.

And that brings us to the second step...

STEP #2: Craft an Irresistible Offer That Converts

You can have the perfect niche, a strong social media presence, and loads of online courses, but none of it matters if people don’t understand what you actually offer

Your coaching package is your menu.

It tells your ideal clients what you do, how you help, and why you’re the best choice over every other coach shouting on Instagram, inside a Facebook group, or sending cold DMs.

Here’s the second step to building a profitable online business:

Create an offer that feels like a no-brainer.

Your offer should communicate clearly:

  • What the transformation is
  • How you’ll deliver that transformation
  • And what makes your coaching services more valuable than other online coaches offering similar things

Alex Hormozi said it best:

“Make an offer so good, people feel stupid saying no.”

And while that might feel out of reach the first time you try to build your coaching business; it gets easier the more you dial in your niche.

By having more conversations and working with more people, you’ll know exactly what your dream clients care about, and that insight gives you the marketing strategy to craft offers that convert.

The Coaching Package I’d Offer If I Were Starting Over

If I had to rebuild from zero — no email list, no digital products, no audience — I’d start with a simple 3-month private coaching program.

Here’s what it would look like:

  • 1-on-1 sessions once a week (Zoom or phone) — 12 sessions total
  • Voxer or email access between sessions so clients feel supported every single day, not just during calls
  • A clearly defined transformation like helping a personal trainer build an online course and quit their corporate job, or helping a yoga teacher land high-paying clients without needing a big audience

This private coaching program gives you high-touch interaction and builds trust fast.

It also lets you charge a higher price point, which is crucial if your month goal is to hit that first $10,000 month mark.

What to Charge for Your High-Ticket Coaching

If you’re just starting out, here’s a simple guideline:

Charge $500 to $1,000 per month for private coaching.

That means:

  • 5 clients at $2,000 paid in full = $10K
  • 10 clients at $1,000/month = $10K/month
  • Or 20 clients at $500/month = $10K/month

Most new clients won’t pay $10K up front — especially if you’re new to selling.

But you can still hit your income goals by offering a special bonus for pay-in-full clients.

That could be:

  • A one-day deep dive focused on solving a specific problem
  • Bonus access to any digital products, tools, or templates you’ve created
  • A limited-time discount for paying in full (For example, instead of paying $1,000/mo. for 3 months, it would be $2,500 for paying in full)

Don’t worry if you don’t have own products yet; the value of your skills and your time is enough.

Offer a tailored experience that feels exclusive and premium. That’s how you’ll start attracting high-level clients who are ready to invest in coaching services that deliver better results.

Helpful Tips To Make Your Offer Great

Here are a few key things to keep in mind when building your offer:

  • Focus on outcomes: Not just “coaching,” but solving important questions your client is already asking
  • Use the energy of certainty: People buy from confident coaches who are clear on the value they provide
  • Keep your business model simple: Don’t try to launch 5 offers at once. One solid offer is enough to build solid cash flow
  • Know your target audience: Speak directly to future clients who are actively searching for a different way to create personal growth, financial flexibility, and get out of zero dollar months

This offer structure works across service-based businesses, not just coaching.

Whether you're helping people build passive income, design digital marketing campaigns, or overcome subconscious mind blocks — clarity wins every time.

The easiest way to increase your conversion rate isn’t flashy funnels or expensive ads.

It’s creating an offer your best clients deeply want and making it feel urgent, simple, and like it was made for them.

And here’s a bonus insight:

The right strategy at this stage isn’t about reaching the most people, it’s about enrolling the right clients at the right price point.

Focus on delivering valuable services to a handful of high-ticket offers, and your total income will grow with less stress, less effort, and more impact.

STEP #3: Find High-Paying Clients

Even if you have the best coaching package, the most aligned business model, and all the digital products in the world… none of it matters if the right people never see it.

Imagine this like fishing.

You could have the best gear — the perfect bait, the best rod, all the technique in the world — but if you're casting your line into an empty pond, you're not going to catch a thing.

The same thing happens in your coaching business.

You could spend a lot of time building out online courses, tweaking your price point, or polishing your premium offer, but if you're showing up in the wrong places — or worse, not showing up at all — you're going to stay stuck at zero dollar months.

The first step to landing dream clients?

Go where the fish are and make sure they’re hungry.

The best way to get in front of them is to create content that they’re already searching for.

The Content Strategy That Attracts Ideal Clients Like a Magnet

If I had to start over today — no audience, no leads, no email list — this is the fastest way I’d get my first clients and build monthly income:

One valuable, searchable piece of content per week — either a blog post or a YouTube video

Each post should target a specific question your target audience is already asking.

Focus on long-form, Evergreen content that builds trust and highlights your expertise. This will also build a deeper relationship with your clients without you constantly hustling.

This type of content works best because people use platforms like YouTube and Google as search engines.

Your future clients are already there every day, typing in things like:

  • “How to start a dropshipping business in 2025”
  • “How to get started with hand sewing”
  • “How to get a girlfriend without dating apps”

When your content shows up, you immediately build authority and attract the best clients without relying on social media algorithms that change every five minutes.

This is the kind of marketing strategy that helps you reach high-level clients looking for valuable services and solutions — not just freebie-seekers.

And when you consistently show up with content that delivers better results, people naturally start to see you as the go-to expert in your niche.

On top of making one solid post each week, here's what else I would be doing to get to make my first $10K in 30 days as an online coach...

The 30 Invites Challenge

Here’s the thing most online coaches miss:

Simply creating content isn’t enough.

You also need to connect with people — real people — consistently.

One of the most valuable daily practices I give my private coaching clients is what I call the 30 Invites Challenge.

Here’s how it works:

  • Set a goal to have 30 coaching-related conversations in 30 days
  • These could come from your mailing list, Facebook group, social media, YouTube videos, or even word of mouth
  • No pressure to pitch — just intake calls, DM convos, and natural discussions where you help people

The goal isn’t to “close” people. It’s to connect, serve, and inspire.

When your energy of certainty is clear and your offer is aligned with a specific result, potential clients will start asking how they can work with you.

You don’t need to be pushy or salesy. As your message gets dialed in, the conversion rate happens naturally.

Pro tip: When someone fits your Niche Formula — “I help [specific person] get [big result]” — and they want that result, you simply offer to help them get there. That’s it.

Whether they’re personal trainers, yoga teachers, or overwhelmed new business owners, if you’ve done your market research and know the value of your skills, you don’t need magic scripts.

You just need genuine conversations.

That’s how you build profitable business momentum — through human connection, not flashy tactics.

Your Weekly Client-Getting Routine (Just copy this)

If you’re serious about building consistent income streams, use this 3-part content + connection strategy:

  • Create 1 Evergreen blog post or YouTube video weekly
  • Share it across your social platforms with a clear CTA (to your lead magnet, coaching services, or a free trial offer)
  • Start 5 conversations per day with people from your network, list, or community

This hybrid of digital marketing and real-time connection is the easiest way to generate leads, especially if you’re trying to make much money fast.

Don’t wait for the algorithm. Don’t waste a lot of time making polished content nobody sees.

Focus on creating the most value in places your potential clients are already looking — and then show up to serve.

That’s how you go from a few sales calls here and there to steady cash flow, a full client roster, and consistent five-figure months.

Key Takeaways:

Step 1: Nail Your Niche

Your niche isn’t something you randomly find — it’s something you refine through action. Use the simple formula:

“I help [specific person] get [big result].”

Clarity here lays the foundation for every offer, piece of content, and client conversation moving forward.

Step 2: Build an Irresistible Offer

Your offer is your menu. Make it clear, outcome-driven, and focused on solving a specific problem your ideal clients are already searching for help with.

A solid private coaching program priced between $500–$1,100/month can be enough to hit your first five-figure month with just a handful of clients.

Step 3: Find Clients with Content + Conversations

Focus on creating weekly Evergreen content (like blog posts or YouTube videos) that answers questions your target audience is already Googling.

Combine that with genuine conversations to attract high-paying clients and fill your calendar — no aggressive sales calls or viral videos required.
